Tips For Visting

Visiting Terror in the Corn is an exciting and unforgettable experience, but it’s important to approach it with the right mindset to get the most out of it. Here are 13 tips to ensure you have an epic time at our event:

  1. Visit on a Slower Night
Weekends near Halloween tend to be the busiest, meaning larger crowds and more customers going through the attraction. We suggest coming earlier in the season or choosing a Thursday or Sunday night when the crowds are thinner. Less traffic means more time for our actors to really deliver those scares - so quieter nights equal a more immersive experience!
  2. Soak Up the Atmosphere
Let yourself become fully immersed in the creepy vibe. Lose yourself in the spine-tingling atmosphere and let go of your skepticism - this is where the fun begins!
  3. Allow Faster Groups to Pass
Everyone moves through haunted attractions at different speeds. If you notice a quicker group behind you, it’s courteous to step aside and let them pass. This keeps the pace moving and prevents larger crowds from diluting the fear factor.
  4. Respect the Performers
The actors at Terror in the Corn work tirelessly to create a truly frightening experience. Please be respectful by not touching or disrupting them, and always follow any rules provided. Remember, the actors are there to scare - not harm!
  5. Bring Friends Along
Haunts are best experienced with friends. It makes the scares more thrilling and less overwhelming. For the most intense experience, go with a group of 6 or fewer - it keeps things more intimate and intense.
  6. Keep Your Cool
It’s perfectly natural to feel scared but remind yourself that it’s all part of the fun. Try to stay calm, and remember there’s no need to run or shove - this is all about enjoying the thrills safely.
  7. Check Your Health
Haunted Attractions can be physically demanding, with a lot of walking and sometimes tight spaces. Make sure you're in good health and able to handle the physical aspects of the experience - your adventure depends on it!
  8. Dress Smart and Secure Your Belongings
Comfort is key - wear suitable clothing and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Be sure they’re secure, as it’s easy to lose a shoe when you’re startled! And don’t forget to secure your personal belongings. Phones, keys, and jewelry are better left at home (or in your bag, pocket, or car) if they’re valuable to you.
  9. No Spoilers!
Keep the surprise alive! If you’ve already gone through, don’t spoil the thrills for those who haven’t. Let them experience the scares firsthand, unspoiled.
  10. Pick a Brave Leader
In order to keep the flow smooth, the haunted house operates best when guests keep moving without stopping. Choose someone in your group who’s not afraid to lead the way and remember: always keep walking forward!
  11. Don't Overdo It Before Entering
Many try to build up their courage with a drink or two before entering, but too much alcohol can cloud your experience—and even get you removed from the attraction. Enjoy the haunt but save the drinks for later!
  12. Take a Bathroom Break First
Trust us - you’ll thank us later. Go before you enter to avoid any interruptions during the experience.
  13. Have a Plan to Exit
If you find yourself getting overwhelmed or need to step out for any reason, we have staff stationed throughout the haunt to escort you out safely. We understand that it can be too much for some—don’t hesitate to ask for help if you need to leave. And hey, there's always next year!
